Software I wished existed

As a freelancer, you constantly run into problems where there's either no solution, or only ones that are too expensive, too complicated, or simply not built for your workflow. At some point you stop complaining and start building.

That's exactly how my products came to be. No investor, no business plan, no pitch decks. Just a specific problem that annoyed me often enough until I decided: I'm solving this — for myself and for everyone else dealing with the same thing.

What I've learned in the process: building your own products makes you a better developer. Not because the code is more demanding, but because you suddenly think about everything — support, hosting costs, onboarding, what happens when something breaks at three in the morning. You stop making decisions for a sprint and start making them for the next few years.

I bring that mindset to client projects too. Once you've run a product yourself, you build differently. More sustainably. With fewer surprises.

SignaturePro

SignaturePro lets you digitally sign PDF documents right in the browser, legally compliant. No installation, no Adobe subscription, no detours. Upload document, place signature, done. Built for freelancers, self-employed professionals and small businesses who don't need an enterprise solution — just a tool that works.

Born because I had to open Adobe for every freelance invoice, just to place a signature.

ReportLens

ReportLens is a visual bug reporting tool built specifically for German web agencies. Clients and testers can take screenshots directly on the website, highlight areas and annotate them. Browser, OS and console errors are captured automatically. No more vague descriptions, no more blurry phone photos — just reproducible bug reports in seconds. GDPR compliant, hosted in Germany.

Born because client bug reports usually consist of 'doesn't work' and a blurry phone screenshot.

DSGVO WebScan

DSGVO WebScan automatically checks websites for GDPR compliance. Cookies, third-party trackers, consent banners and external resources are analyzed and evaluated. The tool crawls the page like a real browser and detects dynamically loaded scripts as well. Free to use, no registration required. Ideal for developers and agencies who want to make sure everything is compliant before go-live.

Born because I had to manually check GDPR compliance on every project handoff — every single time.

PureSleep

PureSleep is a sleep sound app for babies and toddlers. White noise, nature sounds and gentle melodies — all free, no ads, no hidden costs. The app continues playing in the background, supports lockscreen controls and requires no registration. Built as a native iOS and Android app with Capacitor.js and custom Swift plugins for audio playback.

Born because as a new dad I couldn't find a single sleep app that wasn't full of ads or locked behind a paywall.

TilGo

TilGo is a mortgage calculator that doesn't just compute monthly payments, but shows how well you can actually afford a property. Instead of endless spreadsheets, you get a clear affordability score. Enter your budget, run through different loans and see at a glance what's realistic and what isn't. Built for anyone who doesn't want to rely on gut feeling when buying property.

Born because no mortgage calculator could tell me if I could actually afford a property — only what the payment would be.

AppShots

AppShots is a browser-based tool for creating App Store screenshots in minutes. Import your own screenshots, design them and export in the full resolution required by the store. Everything runs locally in the browser — no signup, no cloud, no uploaded images. Built for indie developers and small studios who don't want to open Photoshop just to ship an app launch.

Born because I needed App Store screenshots for PureSleep and didn't feel like opening Photoshop or a subscription tool just for that.

Fuelr

Fuelr combines shopping list, recipe management and weekly meal plan in a single app. Import recipes, drag them into the weekly plan — the ingredients land on your shopping list automatically. Lists can be filtered with tags and shared with family or flatmates, so everyone sees the same state live. Data is stored encrypted in the cloud, and the app is currently available for free on the App Store.

Born because every shopping list at home lived on a different piece of paper or in a different app — and we still had to buy milk three times a week.
